Have you ever tried to send a high-quality video from a Samsung phone to an iPhone and ended up with a blurry mess? Well, those days are officially over!
As of March 23, 2026, Samsung has released a massive update for the new Galaxy S26 series. Now, your Samsung phone can use AirDrop technology to send files directly to iPhones, iPads, and Macs. It’s like they finally started speaking the same language!
🌍 When is it coming to you?
The rollout started today! Here is the schedule:
Today (March 23): Launched first in South Korea.
This Week (March 23–29): Coming to India, North America, Europe, and Japan.
The Future: Right now, it's only for the S26, but older Samsung phones (like the S25 or S24) will likely get it soon with the One UI 8.5 update.
🛠️ How to turn it on (Important!)
Unlike iPhones, this isn't "on" by default. You have to flip a switch first. Follow these 4 easy steps:
Check for Updates: Go to Settings > Software Update and make sure you have the latest version.
Update Your Apps: Open the Galaxy Store and update the Quick Share app.
Flip the Switch: Go to Settings > Connected Devices > Quick Share and turn on "Share with Apple devices."
Apple Side: Make sure the iPhone you are sending to has its AirDrop set to "Everyone."
