Hey there, tech friends! Today we are talking about two very cool things, and one super important safety rule for our phones.
Imagine your phone is like a little pocket robot. The battery inside is its stomach, holding all the energy it needs to play games and watch videos. Let's see what's new in the world of phone "stomachs"
Huge News: Monster Batteries are Coming! 🔋
Have you ever been playing a game only for your phone to go beep-beep and die? It stinks! Well, rumors say that two big phone companies, OPPO and OnePlus, are working on new middle-priced phones with MEGA 10,000mAh batteries.
What does that mean? Most normal phones have a 5,000mAh battery. These new ones will be twice as big! That means your phone could last for days without needing a charger. Pretty cool, right?
Safety First: What if a Battery Gets "Sick"? ⚠️
Because batteries hold a lot of power, we have to make sure they stay healthy. Sometimes, inside old or broken phones, the battery can degrade (get old and weak) and fill up with trapped gas. When this happens, the battery swells up like a balloon or leaks gooey liquid.
Look at this picture below to see what a swollen battery looks like. If your phone looks puffy like a little pillow, or the back screen is popping off, that is a fire hazard (it could catch fire) and needs attention right away!
If your phone ever looks like this, follow these steps immediately:
1. Turn it Off
Do not charge it!
Turn off the device immediately. Do not plug it into the wall, and do not press the power button too hard if it feels stuck.
2. Put it in a Safe Place
Keep it away from skin
Place the phone on a fire-resistant surface (like a concrete floor or a metal tray) out in the open air. If fluid is leaking out, do not touch it with your skin or eyes.
3. Get Help from Grown-Ups
Do not open it yourself
Do not try to open the phone yourself! Take it to an official OPPO or OnePlus repair store so a trained professional can fix it safely.
3 Rules to Keep Your Battery Happy 🌟
Want to make sure your phone battery never gets swollen or sick? Practice these three easy rules:
Use the Right Charger: Only use the official SuperVOOC charger and cable that came with your phone. Cheap chargers can feed the phone bad power.
Keep it Cool: Never leave your phone sitting in the hot sun or inside a hot car. Too much heat hurts the battery!
Don't Let it Starve or Overeat: Try to keep your battery life between 20% and 80%. Don't let it drop to 0% all the time, and don't leave it plugged in forever.
💬 What do you think? Would you want a phone with a giant 10,000mAh battery even if it makes the phone a little heavier?
